Hiko Dub Pūoro
Hailing from the great forest of Tiriwa and raised by the black sands of Te Henga, Te Manu (Tangata Tiriti) seeks to decolonise the dance and bring forth the music of Te Pō by sonically weaving taonga pūoro and waiata Māori with soundsytem-oriented deep dub and bass. As a meeting point of Te Ao Tawhito and Te Ao Hurihuri - where stone, wood and bone meet dubbed-out FX and sub bass frequencies - listeners are invited on a journey through a world of many worlds.
