Billington's Ballistic Blues!

Wild Harmonica Blues
Neil Billington has been described as a "Hendrix of the harmonica", as a tribute to the inventiveness, variety and at-times ferocious virtuosity of his playing on this deceptively simple instrument. He is acknowledged to be one of the leading blues harp players in New Zealand and has appeared at festivals around the country and overseas, where he has played alongside greats like the Louisiana slide-guitar supremo Sonny Landreth. His style has been drawn from the Chicago blues masters with influences that include rock and jazz. The most typical response he draws from a gig is, "I didn't know the harmonica could sound like that!" This CubaDupa, catch Neil playing with a selection of the finest blues ensemble players.
