Italian born, NZ bred, Chloe Loftus has worked internationally as a dancer & choreographer since 2005. Her work is routed in contemporary dance-theatre, specialising in outdoor performances, aerial harness dance and Mass Movement Direction for large-scale events. Originally crafted by Mass Movement Director Chloe Loftus in 2020, ‘Us’ is a processional choreography, a long line of community in unison, weaving through the city streets. This event is a celebration of the unique heart and soul of the city - its people. Drawing inspiration from Pina Bausch’s ‘lines’, this serene and symbolic mass movement happening is a reminder of the power of community. 'Us' brings a joyful sense of connection, to each other and this city. 'Us' is a mass movement event that welcomes Wellingtonians to join in mesmerising unity.
