Bri Louise is a multi-instrumentalist studying music in Wellington, Aotearoa, who blends sultry grooves with smooth love and undeniable groove. Much like the mold and mildew that also grew, Bri's music is born in a tiny, dark, perpetually moist cave-room. DIY is in their DNA, just as it is in the music they produce with their equally musical friends. They have roots in gospel and neo-soul, and now lean heavily on jazz, hip-hop, and R&B, with influences of ambient and classical music that keep their creative minds always in an experimental, imaginative mindset (for better or for worse). Their pieces feature poetic lyrics covered in endless layers, colourful keys, phatty bass, flashy beats, vibrant guitar and fruity woodwinds.
