charmort is the alias of Te-Whanganui-a-Tara-based electronic musician Charlie Morton. Inspired equally by the maximalism of 90s drill ’n’ bass and the meditativeness of ambient and minimalism, charmort’s releases cover any and all dance styles. You love dancing. You love moving. You love charmort. Morton’s first two EPs gathered him a tight-knit following, with the French music outlet LOUD spotlighting his track “Six Eight Lullaby”. Along with the release of his debut LP ‘Quadaural’, 2025 saw charmort’s awaited live debut. Taking a new form with each set, charmort live has blended live synthesisers, keyboard, audiovisual, and traditional DJ performance. For CubaDupa 2026, expect ambient techno, acid bass lines, and actual bangers.
