Grungegaze Noise-Rock
Cruelly are a grungegaze noise-rock band from Te Whanganui-a-Tara, dealing in blown-out riffs juxtaposed with melodic harmony, accompanied by vocals that swing to a serrated scream.
Fuelled by the Aotearoa and local music scene, they’ve been gaining ground fast. Hot off of a double headline tour earlier in 2025, they’ve been digging their heels into their next phase, pushing their local influence to the forefront with an upcoming debut album.
