Dave and the Dirty Humans is an alt-rock band from Te Whanganui-a-Tara, Aotearoa. In contrast to formative inspirations from desert-rock (à la Queens of the Stone Age) and alt-metal (Deftones), Dave’s recent sonic palette embraces gentler influences, including Fontaines D.C., Bloc Party and Jeff Buckley, producing a uniquely flavoured amalgam that bends genre and audience expectation. Rapturous vocal harmonies, tightly interlocked instrumentals, and memorable songwriting define the quartet’s offerings, with simultaneously raw and impressionist lyrics to garnish.
