Rosita Hendry
Multidisciplinary Circus
Rosita Hendry is an accomplished circus performer with a multidisciplinary background in gymnastics, music, dance, and theatre. She trained in Musical Theatre at Apollo Theatre School in Auckland before studying Circus Arts at the National Institute of Circus Arts in Melbourne. She later continued her training at École Nationale de Cirque in Montreal, graduating in 2017 with specializations in aerial rope and Cyr wheel.
Hendry’s international career includes a lead role with Cirque du Soleil in STONE, performances with Cirque Éloize on Cirkopolis and Saloon, and an appearance with Cirque du Soleil in the 2015 Pan American Games opening ceremony. She was contracted with Cirque du Soleil’s TOTEM, toured with Circus Monti in Switzerland, and appeared in Cirque du Soleil’s Messi10. Most recently, she performed as the Cyr wheel soloist in Cirque du Soleil’s LUDO. Based in Aotearoa when not touring, Hendry is passionate about connecting with her community and sharing contemporary circus with audiences at home.
