Only the shadow puppets can save our city! Experience some old-fashioned offline enchantment and shameless urbanist propaganda in the form of a 15-minute show from the Shadow Chateau. It's silly, it's deep, it's absurd, it makes perfect sense. Stephanie Cairns is a puppeteer and musician based in Te-Whanganui-ā-Tara. Stephanie first began to explore puppetry through collaborations with Anna Bailey (String Bean Puppets), taking the original Shadow Chateau to CubaDupa and Out Of The Suitcase Puppet Festival in 2015/16. Outside of her own creations and work on various projects across music, theatre, and puppetry, Stephanie often works with REACT (Rangiwahia Environmental Arts Centre Trust) to puppeteer their giant Big Girls and run children’s workshops.
