TNT! is an musical project that weaves together the explosive power of big band jazz with the mana and beautiful lyricism of Te Ao Mãori - in particular old-school waiata. The programme features bespoke musical arrangements by Vaughn Roberts, presented bilingually and sung in te Reo Māori in a friendly and accessible format. This unique symbiosis of big band music and te Ao Pūoro Māori - consisting of both traditional waiata Māori (such as Me He Manurere, Hoki Mai, Tōku Reo Tōku Ohooho) and classic jazz standards translated into te Reo Māori - is not to be missed! The project's team of top-notch musical personalities includes Wellington’s Capital City Big Band, vocalists Lisa Tomlins (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngai Tahu, Ngāti Toa) & Jeremy Hantler (Kai Tahu, Ngāti Pākehā), Musical Director/Arranger Vaughn Roberts, & Māngai Māori/Assistant MD/Drummer Greg Crayford.
