Wellington Zinefest is a community organisation that runs an annual festival, market days, workshops and meet-ups for local zine-makers. Our events are free and open to people of a diverse range of ages, cultural backgrounds and experience levels. The two-day annual festival typically held in October at the Victoria University of Wellington Te Aro campus celebrates independent publishing, DIY culture, comics, art and zines. This CubaDupa we have teamed up with the Library and Visual Narratives Lab to create a DIY zine-making space, complete with all the materials you need. There’ll be heaps of awesome zines to read and inspire you (including ones made by Te Herenga Waka students), and if you’re keen to buy one, the Zine vending machine has got you covered.
