You, Me, Everybody
Progressive Aotearoa Bluegrass
You, Me, Everybody pushes the boundaries of what New Zealand knows of a genre that was formed on tradition and rules to create progressive bluegrass. While upbeat bangers are part of their repertoire, this is no stomp band but rather a collection of the best of New Zealand’s acoustic instrumentalists that are searching for a new, dynamic sound that showcases the best of Americana in Aotearoa.
Hailed as New Zealand’s first “bluegrass supergroup,” the band quickly rose to prominence, earning chart success, a 2021 Best NZ Folk Artist nomination, and international recognition from the International Bluegrass Music Association. You might recognise them for their performance in Netflix series, Sweet Tooth. The band’s new album 'Midnight' - recorded in Wellington with Nashville-based producer Rachel Baiman and mixed by Grammy-winning engineer Sean Sullivan - explores the space between endings and beginnings, pairing bluegrass with dynamic, contemporary acoustic textures.
