Wellington Airport Ngā Taniwha Stage is home to CubaDupa's highlights. Come to dance and stay to enjoy a drink at the festival Bar. This stage is a must-stop-spot for a dance! The epic taniwha stage design has been created by Wāhine Toa artists Miriama Grace-Smith, Gina Kiel and Xoe Hall and tells the story of the Wellington harbour taniwha, Ngake and Whātaitai, as well as people woven throughout the taniwha representing the first iwi Ngai Tara that Te-Whanganui-a-Tara is named after, their descendants and people who live in the area today.
