We’re excited to announce that CubaDupa is back for 2025, and we’re on the hunt for fresh, innovative artistic talent! As New Zealand’s largest and most dynamic street festival, CubaDupa transforms Wellington’s iconic Cuba Street into a vibrant, living work of art every year. It’s a celebration of creativity that draws thousands of people into the heart of the city to experience art, music, and performance in all its diverse forms.
For 2025, we’re inviting artists, performers, and creatives to submit their most exciting and innovative ideas. Whether you’re a street performer looking to captivate an audience, a visual artist ready to make a bold statement, or a musician eager to fill the streets with new sounds, we want to hear from you. This is your chance to bring something truly unique to the festival and be part of an event that’s at the forefront of New Zealand’s cultural landscape.
What we’re looking for:
- Street Theatre: Performances that engage, surprise, and entertain in unexpected ways.
- Visual Art: Bold installations, murals, sculptures, or interactive pieces that transform public spaces.
- Music: Fresh, innovative sounds that will resonate through the streets of Pōneke.
We’re especially interested in work that challenges the status quo and pushes boundaries. CubaDupa is all about finding your wild, so don’t hold back—think big, be daring, and show us what makes your work stand out.
