We’re opening up Expressions of Interest for venues, collectives, curators and neighbourhood champions to pitch their own stage or creative zone as part of CubaDupa 2026.
We know that some of the most exciting ideas come from the people who live and breathe this neighbourhood. Whether you’re dreaming up a one-day block party, a niche music stage, a visual art takeover, an experimental activation, or a kaupapa Māori or Pasifika-led space — we want to hear from you.
If you’re keen to shape a space, curate a programme, and bring your vision to the streets of Pōneke, fill out our EOI and let’s talk!
While CubaDupa doesn’t currently have funding to directly produce independent stages or creative zones, we’re here to support you in other ways — including:
- Programme guidance and curation support
- Admin assistance (contracting, advancing, H&S, event plans)
- Special licence application support (to enable bar sales and income generation)
- Advice and advocacy for securing sponsorship or external funding
💡 Note: Stages & Creative zones registration fees
- Special Licensed areas: $2,000 + GST registration fee
- Existing licensed premises: $500 + GST marketing contribution
- Free, unlicensed, and publicly accessible zones: No registration fees apply
